this guy was my modern day role model. i knew it was coming but it doesn't make it any easier.

and michael turner was nick's... well, i'm not sure if you can put it in the true terms of what it meant to him, but he was nick's favorite comic artist. he also died this year of cancer... right before nick's birthday. i got him a couple of signed posters.

anyways. i just thought they deserved mentioning. because they were both men of character who lived their dreams, and cancer got them both.

i am very disatisfied with the fact that my life is very much not in order.
like, very.

tonight bubby and i went to the fair. omg fair! i looooove the fair. and i ate my polish sausage, and i ate a funnel cake, and we went down the giant yellow slide... and i actually rode rides this year for bubby. and now we have a new member in our family, as nick won me a goldfish.

me: what should we name him?!!
nick: flipper. NO WAIT! *dramatic pause* zipper...... zipper's surly!!!
me: he is uncaring!!!

*cricket cricket*

me: that seems like a mean name to give him.
nick: he's surly. he deserves it.


so. now we have a fish named zipper... and we drive a boxen.
our life is a poster child for brian regan.

i would just like to say that it sucks that my paintshop pro 6 cd, my copy of trickster's choice, and my copy of trickster's queen are gone forever.

note: i am not mad at anyone that i have ever considered to be a close friend or a decent acquaintance at any point in my life. if you are offended that you were not invited to my wedding because you think it was a result of personal distrust, dismissal, or dislike - you are mistaken and i'm sorry for the confusion. i can honestly say that the only person that was blatently not invited due to personal dislike was my uncle mark - and, as a result, anyone in his family that might of come as his guest had he been invited. if you were not invited it was because of one of the following reasons:

1.) we had a small wedding and neither of us know you that well. but thank you for your sentiments.
2.) the wedding date had been previously discussed with you in casual conversation and prompted the revelation of some sort of previous commitment on your part (such as spring break plans, lack of funds for flight/hotel fares, concerts, family obligations, etc). said commitment was either stressed (or left up to inferrence) as a greater priority than attending our wedding, so we chose to invite someone else close to us who at least could still consider coming. we are sorry if we either misunderstood or incorrectly inferred your level of commitment to your previous plans, but it was all we had to go on. we're sorry for the misfortune of your absense due to miscommunication.
3.) communication info for you could not be found prior to the wedding. but we are thankful to be back in contact with you now.
4.) you fell into the ex-boyfriend/girlfriend/sworn enemy of the other's catagory and were not invited in an effort to "keep things simple" - better known as "keeping fistfights off of the boat."

beyond this, i really just don't know what else to repeatedly tell people. if your feelings are hurt because you feel like you have been cut out of either of our lives, we're sorry. i'm sorry. and i don't know how else to say it other than that. i don't know what else to offer beyond an apology.

and this is pretty much how i'm handling it.

while i was trimming my tree i trimmed my friends list. basically - if you don't post often/at all, if i don't really know you and lj hasn't remedied that, or if i never talk to you anymore - you're hanging out with the tinsel. we're still cool... i just like things neat and clean :)

more specifically, this is directed at fieryredhead/sparklingdiamnd. i am tired of your user names cluttering up my info page. you are a liar and a thief. since i obviously can't do or say anthing that might prompt you to be something of a decent or honest person worthy of respect in (at least) the business world (i.e. - honoring our business agreement of you refunding the minimum of 200 dollars that you owe me), i can at least try to rid my mind of the unfortunate knowledge of your existence on this planet.

i have tried to be nice; i have tried to be professional; but as you have stopped responding to my emails and attempts at finalizing the transaction at hand, i find no other alternative other than to accept that you are a fraudulent crook and report you to my credit claims services. in the meantime, i would like to have as little reminder of your existence as i can possibly muster for myself, hence this post.

as a final note, i am (and have been) rather skeptical as to the amount you actually spent on any materials you needed to order in the first place. i think that's why you weaseled your way out of providing me with the necessary information for me to verify the fabric order in the first place. i also think you are a flighty irresponsible and self-centered woman who cares more about obtaining her "wants" in life than being someone of a respectable character who upholds her end of a bargain. i'm sure the other customer who had to cancel an order with you, whom you described as "a real bitch" was simply less patient than i am. shame on me for not coming to action against your stallings and lies far sooner than now.

in the meantime, and as stated above, kindly do me the favor of removing me from your friends list on both of your screen names. i promise it won't cost you a thing.

as to the lack of a comments section on this post, i figure that since you can't take the time to reply to my emails, you must not need the right to exercise your opinion on my journal either. if you feel like changing your mind and acting like an honest, responsible adult, feel free to PAY me my money via paypal as originally agreed in our arrangement.

i guess you can comment if you want to be added, but i usually only add "real life" friends or friends of friends.  with the rare exception, but those have usually turned out badly.

saturday was the first day of spring.

so i tied up my hair in a dew rag and did a little spring cleaning on my friends list.

okay. you know what? we're going to disney if it doesn't snow. period. you know why? because i want to ride pirates of the carribean and be a matey. ARRRRRRR!!! you know why else? because i didn't get to ride the roger rabbit ride last time and i wanted to. and you know why ELSE? because i there are still plenty of other things to do at disney even though the thundah and the space-suh-suh-suh mountains are busticated. and there's dancing. and if there isn't dancing there will be because i will dance anyways. so HA! and if you don't like it TOUGH because i have sailor pants and i bet you don't and that makes me cooler than you.
